How to Stop iPhone Messages RCS?
Similar to turning on the feature, turning off (Rich Communication Services) RCS on an iPhone is very simple. Follow these steps to turn off the feature on your iPhone.
- Starting up your iPhone, open the Settings app.
- Tap Apps when the Settings app comes up.
- Find messages and tap it.
- Toggle off (Rich Communication Services) in the Text Messaging section.

- Your network carrier may not yet support the RCS toggle, even if your iPhone runs iOS 18.
Why is RCS not showing up on my iPhone?
Currently, most US phone carriers support RCS, but not all do. Your iPhone with iOS 18 can now use RCS with AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
The iOS 18 Public Beta 3 also supports RCS for carriers in Spain, Germany, Canada, and other places.
