More than 10 million people working for Wipro, Infosys, Google and Facebook leaked

A very big case of data hacking has come up. The data of millions of users of the online learning platform Unacademy has reached a hacker. Cyber security agency Cyble Inc. has reported the data leak. This big data leak has stolen the personal information of 22 million users. This information has also been made available for sale on the Dark Web, the report said.

Just a few days ago, the Cyble Me research team found Unacademy’s database on the Dark Web. The batch of databases that the researchers found contained data on 22 million non-academy users. It was selling for 2000 2,000 (about Rs 1.52 lakh). The leaked data contains a lot of information along with the username except email address, hash password, joining or last online date.

Leak information of employees of big companies

Security research firms Cyble and BleepingComputer have investigated the leaked data. The investigation also revealed that data of employees working in Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Google and Facebook has also been leaked. This poses a major threat to the corporate networks of these companies.

After the report came out, Unacademy co-founder Hamesh Singh confirmed the data leak. However, he said the hacking involved the theft of data from 1.1 crore users, not 2.2 crore. He said, ‘General information of 11 million learners has been leaked. No financial data, location or password was damaged. We are investigating very carefully to find any security flaws.
